Select your grip size to place order. One 95S weighs 10.9 ounces unstrung and is 27 inches long. One 95S utilizes Wilson's Graphite Basalt Matrix, Amplifeel grip, Spin Effect, Parallel Drilling, and Smart Tennis Sensor technology.

BLX technology incorporates fibers of basalt, a natural volcanic rock, longitudinally into the Karophite Black. According to Wilson, the result is a significant reduction in vibrations in the racquet.

Amplifeel grip technology places basalt planks in a foam handle to dampen unwanted vibrations. Spin Effect technology is achieved by reducing the number of cross strings in relation to the main strings.

The enlarged spaces allow the ball to penetrate deeper into the string pattern thus increasing the ball'bite' and allowing the player to spin the ball. I personally believe that the spin effect technology also increases the frame life of the racket as the string pressure appears to be more evenly distributed throughout the string bed. I have yet to find a Wilson racket that actually has parallel drilled grommets.

Wilson did appear to angle the grommets at the 2/5/8/10 points of the head a little more in line with the other grommets but I think Wilson engineers have an odd definition of the word parallel. At any rate, Wilson claims that parallel drilling provides a consistent, more forgiving stringbed response while dramatically increasing the sweetspot.

This racket is Smart Tennis Sensor ready. The easy-to-remove butt cap trap door insert allows you to insert the Sony Smart Tennis Sensor(not included) on your racket and let the built-in motion and vibration sensors analyze each stroke. Results are beamed through Bluetooth® connection to your smartphone so you can see them right away. This racket does come factory strung with Wilson Revolve 16G synthetic gut. Recommended string tension is 51 to 61 lbs on this 18X16 string pattern.

With a stiffness of 67, a straight beam width of 21.6 mm, and a midplus head size of 95; I would recommend this racket for players with Medium+ to fast swing speeds who want to swing aggressively and hit a lot of spin with a lot of power. Wilson recommends this racket for players with an attacking style of play who want to take the ball early and dictate play inside the baseline. We have the Wilson BLX Six.
