It was custom built to Jim's exact specifications by his preferred stringing and customizing outfit, Jay's Custom Stringing (JCS) of New York. The knot locations (on the cross strings) also indicate that the racquet was strung by JCS for Jim. This particular sample is part of a 12 racquet set I acquired that were personally used by Jim, and is consistent in detail with the others.

It features his preferred extra wide Balmforth Fairway leather grip, Tourna Grip overgrip, Gosen OG Micro Sheep strings, custom molded handle shape/size, and a Pro Staff 6.0 85 cosmetic. The butt cap on this racquet has the red Wilson "W" and a stamped serial number below it.

I have included photos of Jim at Wimbledon and the US Open in 1995 that feature a similar Chinese Pro Staff cosmetic in his hands, as he used only briefly that year when trying to switch from his beloved St. Please also note that the hologram on the throat has been removed as preferred later on.
